About Us

Free, fast, no-nonsense financial calculators — built to answer one question at a time, clearly.

EMI Calculation is a free collection of 267 online financial calculators covering mortgages, personal and business loans, vehicle finance, investments, tax, and Islamic finance products across a range of countries.

We built it because most financial calculators are either buried inside a lender's sales funnel or hidden behind a sign-up form. We wanted the opposite: open the page, type your numbers, get the answer.

How our calculators work

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. When you press Calculate, the maths happens in JavaScript on your own device — nothing you type is transmitted to us, stored, or logged. That is also why the results appear instantly and why the calculators keep working if your connection drops.

The formulas are the standard ones used across the lending industry. A reducing-balance EMI, for example, uses:

Equated Monthly Installment

EMI = P × r × (1 + r)n ÷ ((1 + r)n − 1)

where P is the principal, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100), and n is the number of monthly installments. Where a product uses a different convention — flat rate, add-on interest, Rule of 78s, or a Shariah-compliant profit structure — the calculator for that product uses the convention that applies to it, and says so on the page.

What we are careful about

  • No hidden assumptions. Every input that affects the result is shown on the page and is editable.
  • No lead capture. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number to show a result.
  • No dark patterns. There is no upsell between you and the answer.
  • Plain numbers. We show the total interest and total cost, not just the flattering monthly figure.

What we are not

We are not a lender, a broker, a bank, or a licensed financial adviser, and we are not paid by any of them to steer you toward a product. Nothing on this site is personalised financial advice.

Our results are estimates. A real lender's offer depends on your credit profile, their fee structure, rounding conventions, day-count basis, insurance requirements, and local regulation — details a general-purpose calculator cannot know. Treat our figures as a starting point for a conversation with a qualified professional, not as a substitute for one. Please read our Disclaimer before relying on any result.

Accuracy and corrections

We test our formulas against published amortisation schedules and worked examples, but mistakes are possible. If a result looks wrong to you, please tell us — include the calculator name and the exact inputs you used, and we will check it. Corrections are the fastest way this site gets better.
